I won't be giving these charts priority over charts that have not be compiled at the time. The 50's, 60's and 70's still have my top priority. But what I will do is upload them as soon as I have done a months worth of charts. As yet I can't say how long the gap between each month uploaded will be. What I do know is that as the months go on it should in theory get quicker. This is because of adding up records that where from the previous year that have continued into the current year. This is for the purpose of calculating the best seller chart of the year. These have to be manually done as it wasn't incorporated into the paper based charts. So as soon as the previous years records fall out, it's back to what has been added up already, thus speeding up the process. Fortunately, unlike of the later years records, only exceptionally stayed in the charts for long week runs.
The digital versions of the chart finally took over on the 8 October 2006. In fact that chart was first made in paper format!
So lets start with the 2000 charts. As always orange coloured tracks fall out the following week. The yellow sales increase symbols feature on the original charts. I have NOT corrected or added any. The original charts did have the Official Chart positions on them. But I have not included them. I will scan and upload a section of the first chart to show you what they were done like.
As the 2000 Charts are now complete I can now also present the full charts with sales calculations, plus the full list of best sellers, all 213 of them. All in PDF Format.
